I need more practice Night Driving, and Stop Signs in parking lots confuse me. But overall, I'm a pretty good driver. AND I SAW MANY MANUFACTURER PLATES, more on that tomorrow. I'll do a photodump. Until then Here's a G-Body Cutlass I saw at Chipotle:

Y U have chipotle and we don't, me sad :( closest thing we have is qdoba. at least qdoba has queso sauce. Anyway, congrats, and you were taking pictures while you were driving?

We have chipotle because the were founded in colorado, the first one is here. I was not taking pictures while driving. I went to the embassy suites near the old stapleton airport. Thats where the manufacturers stay while doing high altitude testing. I parked and probably annoyed my dad (he's not a car guy). I needed driving practice and that embassy suites happened to be a distance that was beneficial to learning. I drove on the highway, took a few interchanges/exits, went in a residential area, and city streets. I also parked, hence the embassy suites. We basically drove out there via the highway and drove back not via the highway, we also stopped for dinner on the way home.

I like chipotle. okay, thats really cool about the altitude testing, are they like using the airport runways or something for testing, about how far was your drive, and do you know when you will get your license?

I dont know how much of the runways are left, the airport closed when they built DIA. I hope to get my license soon, but my mom is dragging her heels. She practically forced my brother to get his license and went out of her way to help him, but with me she will only let me drive the van (which she never drives) and she doesnt go driving with me. She hasnt even scheduled my last drive lesson. Today she finally gave me permission to do it, but their closed today. I dont think she understands how important this is to me

I probably only drove with my mom about 3 or 4 times before I took my test. The thing that is killer is insurance for a teenage male, its not cheap. I actually did most of my driving with the guy from the drivers school. I probably only had about 10 hours of driving before I took my test. my mom hates driving with me, I would say in the 2 months I've had my license, She has only ridden with me 4 or 5 times. It took nearly 2 1/2 years to even convince her to let me start drivers ed. but once I started, I got the online lessons done in about 3 weeks. out of like 16 units, i did like 6-11 in one day. I was desperate to start driving, so I know the feeling of having your parents dragging their heels. I hope you get it soon.

Sounds like you have a similar parent situation to me. My mom wouldnt even let me get my permit until I was 20. Its hard to say no to their overprotectiveness when you rely on them for so much, especially transportation. What sucks more is that you only rely on them because they gave you no other options

wow... thats even worse than me. If your under 17 in Idaho, you have to wait at least 6 months after finishing drivers ed, but since I was 17, I only took around 2 1/2 months to get my license, but almost everyone I knew that was my age had their license before me.

In colorado its 18. But ya, its really sucks relying on other people to get you places. I always felt so guilty asking my ex-girlfriend to pick me up for dates, especially since I knew she couldnt afford the gas. Its emasculating

I know my mom likes it now that I have my license, and its nice to be able to get yourself where you need to go. I do yard work for money, and so that means I have to go to a bunch of different places for jobs, and so if my mom had to come home so I could get the mower loaded, then she would have to drop me off, then if I needed to dump yard waste, I would have to call her, and then wait for her to come. then load the stuff, take it to recycling, go back to where I was working, then come and get me and take me home. I would often wait at least half an hour, but now being able to load my own stuff, and go to the jobs, Its so much nicer, filling up with gas hurts though, the stupid thing costs 70 bucks to fill, and since I do mostly in town driving, I only get around 12-14 mpg, and when I have to pay to fill it myself, that really hurts. I don't think I have ever filled it completely full.
